Clippers rookie Branden Dawson was arrested Sunday morning (March 13) on suspicion of spousal abuse, a felony charge, reports the Associated Press.
The 23-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. PT, and later released after posting $50,000 bond.
The report says the incident involves Dawson’s live-in girlfriend, and took place at a residence in the Playa Vista area, where the team’s practice facility is located. Details, however, are currently unknown.
The arrest took place just one day after Dawson was recalled to the Clippers from the NBA D-League’s Erie BayHawks on Saturday morning.
He was the 56th pick in the 2015 NBA draft and has appeared in three games for the Clippers this season, while making 26 appearances in the D-League with the Bakersfield Jam, Grand Rapid Drive and the BayHawks.
