The Denver Broncos have acquired quarterback Mark Sanchez, via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Broncos give up a conditional draft pick in the trade, which general manager John Elway tweeted about on Friday afternoon (March 11). “Acquired QB Mark Sanchez for a conditional ’17 pick,” Elway wrote. “He brings veteran leadership & will compete. This is the 1st step in our process.”
With Peyton Manning retiring and Brock Osweiler signing with the Houston Texans this week, the Broncos were left with only Trevor Siemian at quarterback.
Sanchez, 29, appeared in four games for the Eagles in 2015, two of which he started. He threw for 616 yards, with four touchdowns and four interceptions.
