When it comes to steak, Mu Ramen in Long Island City, NY has what is touted as the “world’s most expensive steak”, which “professional carnivore” Nick Solares experiences in the latest episode of Eater’s The Meat Show.

In the clip, Nick chats it up with chef Joshua Smookler, who explains that he has dry-aged an A5, grade 12 wagyu ribeye for 400 days. They then try it raw, then pan-seared, then sous-vide, and finally, over sushi rice.

While Smookler didn’t know what he could charge for the steak, it’s estimated the pricetag could easily break $1,000 USD.
