Conor McGregor

UFC 196 on Saturday in Las Vegas (March 5) is set to be historic.

According to ESPN, featherweight champion Conor McGregor (19-2), who will fight Nate Diaz in the main event, will draw a $1 million disclosed purse — the first disclosed purse of that amount of more in UFC history.

McGregor stands to make much more, says the report, because the figure doesn’t include pay-per-view bonuses, sponsorships or potential Fight Night bonuses from the UFC. He tells CNBC this week he will “breeze past” $10 million.

While he will get a guaranteed $1 million with no win bonus, Diaz (18-10) will make $500,000 to show with no win bonus.

In the co-headlining event, female bantamweight champ Holly Holm (10-0) will make $500,000 to show with no win bonus, while her opponent, No. 1 contender Miesha Tate, gets $46,000 to show and $46,000 to win.
