Nearly a year after New York rapper Pumpkinhead passed away, he gets a street named after him.
According to PWRMoves, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced last week that Degraw Street, between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Brooklyn, will be renamed “Robert PH Diaz Way” in honor of the late rapper, born Robert Diaz.
“We commend the New York City Council and Mayor Bill de Blasio for naming streets in honor of hip-hop music and culture, and the late hip-hop recording artist Robert ‘PH’ Diaz, respectively,” The Center for Hip-Hop Advocacy Executive Director Manny Faces said in a statement.
Pumpkinhead passed away last June, following a minor surgery. Details surrounding his deatgh are still unknown.
