Tyga is consistently in the media, more so for controversy than his actual music. But, he addressed these topics in a recent interview with KMEL's Shay Diddy.

During the lengthy interview, the rapper spoke in length about the flack he receives from the media, essentially saying he doesn't pay it no mind.

"After a while, you get to the point where you're just like, 'Well, it's not affecting my real life.' I still wake up. I see my son every day. So, it's not affecting my real life, but after a while, its like, the public perception might bother you a little bit," Tyga said. "You gotta realize, you gotta pick and choose your battles. I didn't start making music to be on reality TV, or wake up and have to address TMZ and see stuff from my lawyer every day from TMZ. I don't care about that sh*t."

"What it comes from is my name being one the most clicked on TMZ. That's what it comes from," he added. "It comes from people being interested and just wanna know. They're making like 10 cents every time you click, you know what I'm saying? I really don't really focus on the media part so much. I'm glad you asked me a lot of questions about that, because I really don't speak on it like that. It's not really one of my main focuses when I get up."

Elsewhere, Tyga was asked about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, where he touches on theĀ advice he gives her about dealing with media to their age difference.

"Me being older than her, I've been through a lot more things, so it's kinda like... I can kinda help her more with it, even though she's been more in the tabloid media limelight than I am."

"It's kinda hard to really talk about that. I didn't understand it," Tyga said, regarding the age different. "This person is a really good person, and the devil keep trying to tell me something... to not follow God. I let God do what he wanna do. I don't really know how to speak on that, because I just keep my faith strong."
