Ahead of its debut at the Chicago Auto Show this month, Toyota unveils the TRD Pro Series edition of the 2017 Tacoma pick-up, which joins the Tundra and 4Runner in the line-up.
The Tacoma TRD edition comes with all-new factory-installed off-road equipment, designed by the TRD dvision with off-road capability in mind.
Based on the Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4×4 Double Cab Short Bed model, the truck is available in either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and powered by a 3.5-Liter V6 DOHC 24-valve direct-injection Atkinson-cycle engine with VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide) intake and VVT-I exhaust.
The exterior is available Cement, Barcelona Red Metallic, and Super White colors, with features like 16-inch black alloy wheels, wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler® All-Terrain Kevlar®-reinforced tires; an aluminum front skid plate; LED fog lights and projector-beam headlights with black bezels; taillights with black bezels; and TRD Pro badging on the front door and tailgate, alongside a diamond-pattern knurled finish.
Inside features include black leather-trimmed heated front seats, a TRD shift knob and floor mats, and TRD Pro branding in the headrests.
The 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro Series will hit dealers later this fall.
