Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been named the 2015 NFL Rookie of the Year, as voted by the fans, Pepsi and the NFL, the league announced Friday.
The 22-year-old was recognized during Super Bowl 50 festivities in San Francisco, as well as online at NFL.com.
During the season, Winston passed for 4,042 yards and 22 touchdowns, both of which are franchise records by a rookie.
He was selected with the No. 1 overall pick of the NFL Draft by the Bucs last April.
In Week 11, against the Eagles, Winston made history, when he threw five touches with no interceptions, joining Ray Buivid (Dec. 5, 1937) as the only rookie QB in history to accomplish that feat.
