Kanye West surprised fans on Tuesday night (Jan. 26), when he announced that he's changed the title of his new album from SWISH to WAVES... but Wiz Khalifa ain't feeling it.

Wiz took to Twitter shortly after to make sure everyone understood the significance of the name... and the man who created the "WAVE" movement -- incarcerated rapper Max B.

"Please don't take the wave," he tweeted. "Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him."

Wiz then followed by making his case, before posting a number of Max's videos.

Following the controversy, Kanye acknowledged Max B, tweeting: "All respect to Andre Harrel and Max B #Waves".

Still, Wiz seemed unmoved... retweeting Ye's comment and adding, "Yea aight".

Max B is currently serving a 75-year prison sentence for armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and murder. He's maintained his innocence and has continued to release music from prison.
