Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James continues to climb the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing Alex English for 17th place.
The NBA superstar rose on the list on Monday, during the Cavs’ 101-97 win over the Phoenix Suns.
James needed just five points to pass English’s career total of 25,613 points, which he did in the first quarter. He ended the night with 14 points.
The next players in James’ sights on the all-time scoring list is Kevin Garnett (16th), Paul Pierce (15th) and Tim Duncan (14th), all of whom are active. Then, John Havlicek sits at 13th, with 26,395 points.
In addition to points, James also climbed the all-time assists list, passing Stephon Marbury (6,471 assists) for 22nd in NBA history.
