New York Jets receiver Brandon Marshall broke the team’s single-season reception record on Sunday.
Marshall’s 94th catch of the season on Sunday, allowed him to pass Al Toon’s 1988 record of 93 catches, which has held up for 27 years.
He closed out the game by reaching 100 receptions and 13 touchdowns for the season — the most in a season for his career. He also became the first player in NFL history to have as many catches in six different seasons.
Marshall is in his first season with the Jets, after he was acquired him in a trade in March with the Chicago Bears.
