Speculation about the forthcoming Nintendo NX console has been flying, but details are unknown.
However, The Verge reports that the company has filed a patent for a gamepad design featuring a full front panel touchscreen.
As shown in the patent filings, the video game controller features a touchscreen, alongside two analog sticks. Shoulder buttons are also present, although the customary front-facing buttons will be replaced with context-aware touch. Additionally, a function for glasses-free 3D technology may be features, along with a typical card slot and speaker system.
