Following its announcement of a 3D-printed tech called “Futurecraft”, adidas introduces a new sneaker using the tech with Parley for the Oceans.

The footwear concept is a boasts a midsole made of 3D-printed Ocean Plastic, in an effort to contribute to stopping pollution in our oceans, while the upper is made of recycled polyester and gill net.

Additionally, adidas has stopped using plastic bottles for meetings at its global headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, while the brand will also phase out the use of plastic bags in its retail stores by 2016.

No word on whether the Adidas x Parley for the Oceans will hit shelves.
