Rumors have been flying for a while now, but it’s now confirmed… Spider-Man is set to appear alongside other Marvel characters in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Robert Downey Jr. (who plays Iron Man, duh!) confirmed the rumor.

“[Don Cheadle and I] are now like the old guard, and our storyline carries real weight just because of our history in the [canon]. But we’re also looking around like, ‘Who thought that Falcon and Black Panther and Ant-Man and now Spider-Man…?’ ”

The report says that Sony agreed to a license-sharing deal earlier this year, allowing Marvel Studios to incorporate Spidey as a supporting character in some of their films, while partnering on future, stand-alone films.

In addition to the aforementioned characters, Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo) will also appear in the upcoming Captain America epic.

Captain America: Civil War drops May 6, 2016.
