Adidas debuted the all-new Crazylight Boost 2.5 this week, the first shoe in their upcoming Aurora Borealis footwear collection.
Set to be worn on court by adidas athletes at the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto, the collection is inspired by the city’s vibrant, cosmopolitan culture and the Northern Lights that paint the sky in upper parts of Canada.
The sneaker combines design cues from its predecessor with unique color treatment featuring a purple and teal Primeknit upper and seamless integration of breathable mesh through the forefoot for a comfortable feel. Three teal stripes beneath a mesh panel offer subtle adidas branding, while asymmetrical collar construction wraps the foot for an enhanced fit. Boost cushioning adds comfort and performance on the hardwood.
The collection will also feature an array of adidas basketball and Originals shoes, each engineered with glow in the dark styling and multicolor uppers.
The Aurora Borealis Collection launches at adidas.com in early 2016.
