Buzzing Ohio rapper Slim Jesus took over the Internet back in September, when the video for his cut “Drill Time” went viral.
Due to the overnight exposure, many labels came a knocking, including Birdman and Cash Money Records.
King Yella, a former collaborator of Slim Jesus, recently uploaded a video, which he claims is a conversation between Birdman, himself and the Ohio rapper… regarding a possible record deal.
“I don’t wanna waste your time or mine… I think you special,” Birdman says during the phone call. “I [knew you were someone] we can f*ck with. I’d like to come see you… I respect it, but I think I can change the way y’all living… Y’all f*ckin’ with the biggest sh*t in the world, dog. I am the biggest sh*t in the world… I got the biggest artists in the world. We rotate that sh*t. Wayne, Drake, Nicki. We make that sh*t pop. And I got the biggest system.”
Later in the conversation, Birdman discusses the status of Lil Wayne, who has been fighting Cash Money in court. He tells Slim Jesus that Weezy and he are on good terms… and he isn’t leaving the label.
“Wayne ain’t going nowhere, man. I don’t know what you be hearing, man. Wayne, one-thousand. That’s my son, man. He ain’t going nowhere. Ain’t nobody going nowhere,” says Birdman.
While it certainly sounds like Birdman on the phone, it has not been verified.
