The defending champion Golden State Warriors made history on Tuesday night (Nov. 24), setting a new record for best regular season start in the NBA's 70-year history.

The team destroyed the struggling Lakers 111-77 to improve to 16-0, in front of their hometown fans.

Stephen Curry scored a game-high 24 points on 10-for-21 shooting, including 4 for 12 from 3-point range, while adding nine assists, four rebounds and two steals. For the Lakers, Kobe Bryant scored four points on 1-for-14 shooting for the Lakers, tying his worst shooting night ever.

The Warriors want to keep the momentum going, and have the next-best record in their sights -- the 33-game winning streak set by the 1971-72 Lakers.
