Miami Heat swingman Gerald Green was hospitalized Wednesday (Nov. 4) for unknown reasons, and will be out of the line-up for Thursday’s game against Minnesota.
While details are sketchy, TMZ reports that Green was seen acting strange in the lobby of his condo, screaming at the top of his lungs, and that it took several people to restrain him… and get him on a stretcher and into an ambulance.
He was not arrested, reports the Miami Herald, but Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue requested assistance because of a “combative patient” at the address where Green lives.
The team released a statement Wednesday saying Green was admitted Wednesday morning: “Right now our concerns are with Gerald” and declined further comment.
His current condition is unknown…
In three games with the Heat this season, Green has averaged 10.3 points.
