Kanye West and President Obama

President Barack Obama offered some advice to Kanye West at the Democratic National Committee in San Francisco on Saturday (Oct. 10), regarding his 2020 run for president.

"You've got to deal with strange characters who behave as if they are on a reality TV show," Obama said, according to Variety. "Saying you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy — that's what's known as off-message in politics."

West, who was scheduled to perform songs from his forthcoming album SWISH, released an album called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010.

Obama later joked about those who believe West's run for President is impossible. "Do you really think this country is going to elect a Black guy from the south side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the U.S.?" he said.

Looks like Kanye had something for Obama as well. His wife, Kim Kardashian, posted a photo on Instagram of two pairs of Yeezy Boost sneakers with a label that reads "Obama."
