Ever since Nike designer Tinker Hatfield confirmed, earlier in the year, that a power-lacing version of the Nike MAG would drop sometime this year, sneakerheads have been eagerly awaiting official news.
With the date given in the original Back to the Future II film coming closer, it’s speculated that it would be soon.
But now, Max Erdenberger (a former art director at advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy in Portland) may have the answer. He posted a photo on Twitter, in which he’s holding what many believe to be a first look at a functioning version of Nike’s long-promised powerlace Nike Air MAG.
In Erdenberger’s tweet, he adds the simple caption: “October 21, 2015.” That date is exactly when Marty McFly travels to the future in the movies.
