Locksley Hall, once the most expensive home for sale in California, sold this week for a whopping $47.5 million.

Located in Belvedere, Calif. -- a small, affluent city in the Bay Area -- the estate is a three-story home, boasting 9,235-square-foot with features like a poolhouse, rose garden and panic room.

Built on the southern crest of Belvedere Island, it boasts jaw-dropping views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.

The sale breaks the record for the highest reported single-family home sale in San Francisco.
