While details were not disclosed, he’s expected to sign a two-year deal, with the second year being a player option.
Kaun was drafted in the second round by the Cavs in 2008. He has played the last seven seasons with CKSA Moscow after playing at Kansas.
The 30-year-old 7-footer averaged 9.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in 30 Euroleague games last season.
With the Cavs, he’s will backup starting center Timofey Mozgov.
