Nicki Minaj is nominated for three awards at the 2015 MTV VMAs, but is upset she didn’t land in the coveted Video of the Year category.
The rapper is up for Best Female Video, Best Hip-Hop Video for “Anaconda,” but not in the category she feels it deserves… which she addressed on Twitter.
“If I was a different ‘kind’ of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well,” tweeted Nicki. “When the ‘other’ girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.”
Upon its release in August 2014, the raunchy “Anaconda” clip set a record with 19.6 million views in 24 hours.
In the Video of the Year category, nominees include Beyoncé’s “7/11,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”
