Former NBA player Jackson Vroman was found dead Monday (June 29) in a swimming pool at his home in Los Angeles. He was 34 years old.
Initial details were sketchy, but trust fund beneficiary /social media star Dan Bilzerian diffused rumors, saying it was an accidental drowning.
“He was sitting down, he got up to go inside the house, tripped on the stairs, hit his head and drown[ed] in the pool,” he tweeted, followed by “#RIP.”
Vroman was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the second round (31st overall) of the 2004 draft, but played for Phoenix and New Orleans during his two NBA seasons. After the NBA, he played for various international teams.
