After five consecutive losses in the UFC, welterweight Josh Koscheck has signed with Bellator MMA.
The signing was announced during the live broadcast of Bellator 139 on Friday night (June 27).
Koscheck (17-10) joined the UFC in 2005, after appearing on the inaugural season of the UFC reality series The Ultimate Fighter. He’s fought in the UFC for all of his pro-career, aside from two fights. Notable fights include a match-up against Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title in December 2010, which he lost.
The 37-year-old finished his UFC contract in March in a loss to Erick Silva via first-round submission in Rio de Janeiro.
At press time, there was no date for Koscheck’s Bellator debut.
