Before 1920, the NHL consisted of ten teams, but the Great Depression forced a few to leave or close up shop, leaving just six by the end of World War II.
To honor those six teams, Boston-based retailer Concepts pays homage with this “Original 6” collection with Mitchell & Ness.
The collab features knit basketball-style jerseys of the following teams: Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks. To accompany the jerseys, a set of matching mesh bucket hats were creating with the team-specific embroidered patch logo, exterior Concepts loop label and interior co-branding.
The “Original 6” collection launches at Concepts New York on June 5 at 12 p.m. EDT.
