Super Bowl XLIX, “The Walking Dead” Among Most-Tweeted TV Moments

Super Bowl XLIX and AMC's The Walking Dead are among the top-tweeted TV moments this season.

Nielsen released a report this week, listing television shows, special events and sporting events that captured the most attention on Twitter, which took place from September 2014 to May 2015.

The Super Bowl garnered the most attention, racking up 25.1 million tweets, followed by 57th Grammy Awards, which aired on CBS in February, with 13.4 million.

The Grammys were the most tweeted about televised special event, with 13.3-million people seeing tweets about the event.

The Walking Dead was the most tweeted about show this season, garnering an estimated 1.3-million tweets in October 2014, reaching 7.4-million people throughout the night. The series also had the largest audience on Twitter throughout the fifth season, with 4.3-million people seeing tweets about the show.

Fox's Empire rounded out the top five, averaging 2.6-million tweets in its first season.
