Shepard Fairey traveled to Detroit over the weekend for a pair of exhibits, but also painted his largest mural to date.
The mural, which comes as part of his work with Library Street Collective, is an iteration of his signature style and is on display in the Downtown area of the city.
“Everyone here is so enthusiastic. In Detroit, street art isn’t seen as vandalism, but as an enhancement,” Fairey told the Detroit News. “It’s quite a reversal for me.”
Fairey’s Printed Matters exhibition runs at Library Street Collective until late August.
