Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith set a franchise playoff record on Wednesday night (May 20), by sinking eight three-pointers in their 97-89 win over the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Off the bench, he accounted for all 28 of his Cavs’ bench points, converting 10 of his 16 field-goal attempts, including eight of 12 from down town.

He also added eight rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal with two turnovers in 36 minutes.

LeBron James previously held the franchise playoff record of seven three-pointers in a game, having set the mark in April 2006 against the Washington Wizards.
