Aaron Hernandez

A month after getting life in prison, former NFL player Aaron Hernandez seems to be embracing life behind bars.

According to CNN.com, he was involved in a fight at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts on Monday (May 18)… believed to be gang-related.

A law enforcement source said Hernandez agreed to be on the lookout for one inmate who went into another prisoner’s cell. They eventually fought… and are now being disciplined.

Hernandez was placed in a special management section at the correctional center.

This isn’t the first altercation he’s been involved in behind bars. In February 2014, Hernandez and an inmate being transported from the infirmary allegedly exchanged words. Hernandez allegedly punched the inmate and knocked him to the ground. Neither was injured.

The former New England Patriots star tight end was found guilty in the June 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd last month, and was sentenced to a mandatory term of life in prison without parole.

His lawyers have appealed.
