New York rapper Chinx, formerly Chinx Drugz, was shot and killed early Sunday (May 17) in a drive-by in Queens.

The rapper, known as a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys crew, was just 31 years old.

The incident took place around 4 am at Queens Boulevard and 84th Drive in Briarwood. Chinx (real name: Lionel Pickens) was shot multiple times in the torso.

Police say the victims were driving a Porsche westbound on Queens Boulevard when a second vehicle pulled up next to them, where a gunman from the second vehicle fired multiple rounds.

The second victim is in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital.

So far, police are investigating.
