Converse has opened an impressive new headquarters in Boston, which we get a look at here, via BostInno.
Located at 160 North Washington St., the 214,000-square-foot office space has 10 stories and houses 400 employees, though it has space for 800. It also boasts incredible views of the Zakim Bridge, the harbor, Charlestown and beyond.
Inside is large conference style rooms, designed intentionally to encourage employee interaction, though there are a few offices and cubicles located throughout. Many of the larger spaces have no electrical outlets, so laptops and other devices will not be a distraction and meetings can thus be completed more quickly.
Other features includes an in-house gym that provides various classes, workout equipment and locker rooms, as well as a centrally-located spiral, wooden staircase connecting each floor.
Also housed at the HQ is Converse’s Rubber Tracks recording studio, which includes a live concert area. And finally, below the stage location is the brand’s retail store.
