Who’s the the most dominant athlete in the world? Floyd Mayweather? LeBron James? Kobe Bryant?
According to Sports Illustrated, it’s UFC women’s champ Ronda Rousey.
The 28-year-old MMA superstar covers the May 13th issue of Sports Illustrated, in which she’s declared “The World’s Most Dominant Athlete.”
Rousey is just the second MMA fighter in the sport’s history to grace the cover of the magazine — lightweight contender Roger Huerta was the first, in 2007. Huerta’s cover was focused on the rise of the sport, rather than a piece focused on him.
In the cover story, she talks about her 14-second submission finish over Cat Zingano at UFC 184 in February, which she said was “the most brilliant [expletive] ninja [expletive] I ever saw. Every single millisecond of that fight was something that has never been done before in MMA.”
The S.I. issue hits newsstands on May 18th.
