Rolls-Royce has announced an upcoming new model called Dawn, reviving a name first used in 1949 but only ever applied to 28 special editions between 1950 and 1954.
The original Silver Dawn was the first Rolls-Royce to be offered with a factory-built body. The drophead Rolls-Royces that carried continued to be coach-built for individual customers, ensuring their uniqueness and rarity.
The company says the Rolls-Royce Dawn is the next step in the renaissance of their line, which began in 2003 with the launch of Phantom and subsequent introductions of Ghost and Wraith.
The car shown here is a 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn. Images of the 2016 Dawn have not been revealed. But, it is planned to launch in the beginning of 2016.
