Kanye West has come a long way since being a beatmaker for Roc-A-Fella Records.
More than a decade after dropping The College Dropout, the rapper/producer has become one of, if not the, most influential artist of our generation.
With that said, here’s a clip of a very young Kanye, predicting his future as a rap star.
“This ain’t a f*cking game for me,” he says in the clip. “I don’t give a f*ck about a n*gga tryna classify me as a producer. My beats was wack at one point, dog. I wasn’t always having hot beats. I learned how to make hot beats. I’m focused on rhyming now. I’mma be the f*cking best. I’m charting with these n*ggas. I’mma come out #1. Hopefully. If not the first album, the second album. It’s not the second album, it’s gonna be the third album.”
