Avengers: Age Of Ultron

It’s still the Age Of Ultron at the box office, as the Avengers sequel tops the box office yet again with $77.2 million this weekend.

The film has earned over $312.9 million at the domestic box office, in just 10 days at theaters, tying with The Dark Knight to become the second fastest film to do so.¬†Even with the success, it’s still behind the record-setting 2012 original, The Avengers, which made $103.1 million in its second weekend in theaters and had a domestic total of $373 million at the same point in the cycle.

Behind Ultron was the Sofia Vergara/Reese Witherspoon comedy Hot Pursuit, which debuted at #2 with $13.3 million. In the film, an uptight and by-the-book cop (Witherspoon) tries to protect the outgoing widow (Vergara) of a drug boss, as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.

The Age of Adaline held at #3 with $5.6 million, Furious 7 falls to #4 with $5.2 million, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 closes out the top 5 with $5.1 million.
