Famed street artist Shepard Fairey is set to paint his largest mural to date in Detroit.
According to the Metro Times, the 45-year-old will be in town later this month for an exhibit called “Printed Matters” at the Library Street Collective.
The show will focus printed materials such as serigraphs on paper, editions on wood, editions on metal, and fine art collage.
Fairey will also exhibit as part of the Public Matter series, an outdoor gallery located behind the LSC known as the Belt, where he’ll paint a permanent mural as well.
The opening reception is on May 22 and will run through August 15.
As for his massive mural, it’s unclear where it will be.
