Tyga previously lost a lawsuit against his former landlord, who won a judgement that ordered the rapper to pay him nearly $90,000 for back rent.
However, he’s yet to pay and the landlord wants him jailed.
According to TMZ.com, Tyga rented a house in Calabasas back in 2010, but fell way behind in rent and was eventually ordered to pay up $90,000.
He never paid, so the landlord has filed legal docs to force Tyga back into court, in an attempt to find out what his assets are… to satisfy the judgment.
Tyga was served with papers during a sneaker signing in Los Angeles last month, demanding he show up for a hearing. Of course, he didn’t.
The rapper’s lawyer tried to appease the landlord by offering to pay his lawyer bill for the hearing, which came to $1,090. TMZ says Tyga wrote a check and it bounced.
Days before the hearing, Tyga posted stacks of money on Instagram, which pissed off his former landlord, who is demanding he pay the full judgment, plus interest, which has now risen to $124,000. Furthermore, the landlord warns, if he doesn’t pay, he’ll get an arrest warrant because Tyga failed to show at the hearing.
