Ludacris addresses his past beef with Drake this week, during a stop by The Breakfast Club radio show.
During the interview, the rap star revealed that the real reason behind his issues with Drake stem from a girl.
“You know what’s crazy?” Luda asked. “I think there is a little bit of a true story behind that. His girl, at the time, with all due respect, was probably doing a little bit more than that. It’s a true story and I think that’s why he said that.”
The lyric Ludacris is referring to is on Drake’s 2014 track, “How Bout Now,” in which he spits: “Then ask if we could listen to Ludacris / And car rides made me feel like I was losing it / Yeah, made me feel I have it like that / Like I was average like that.”
Apparently, one of Drizzy’s previous girlfriends didn’t pay him any attention, because she preferred Luda.
“There was a chick in Toronto, at the time, I didn’t even know that she was…” Luda says before he’s interrupted by DJ Envy.
“Luda smashed Drake’s girl, man, my goodness,” Envy said.
“I did not know,” Luda replies.
Despite the issues over the unnamed girl, both have since settled their differences since the incident.
