King Kendrick is here. Kendrick Lamar lands his first #1 album this week, as his sophomore album To Pimp A Butterfly tops the Billboard 200.
The Compton rapper’s new album has sold 363,000 copies since dropping a week early.
324,000 copies were recorded for the first week, giving Kendrick the second-largest sales week of 2015, following Drake’s surprise project, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, which sold 495,000 units.

His previously effort, 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city, debuted and peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200, moving 241,000 units in its first week and eventually went on to sell more than 1.4 million copies.
