Migos is among the brightest young stars coming out of the ATL. There’s no denying their momentum, as they gear up for the June release of their debut album, Y.R.N. Tha Album.

The trio is so confident, they’ve recently compared themselves to iconic action-heroes and even legendary Atlanta group, Outkast.

“We like the Transformers, we come together from different scenes,” member Takeoff told Paper Magazine.

“We kind of like the new Outkast,” Quavo added. “They’re comparing us to the Beatles. They’re comparing us to legendary people. We didn’t grow up listening to them, but we knew of these people. We just wanted to be in that same name bracket. The people we grew up watching and listening to — Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, Master P — all that type of stuff, we took those styles and made it our own.”

What do you think? Can Migos be mentioned in the same breath as an iconic group like Outkast? Let us know.

Y.R.N. Tha Album is due out June 16.
