French fashion house Balmain has opened its first flagship store in London.

Located in Mayfair, on South Audley Street, the brand hired architect Joseph Dirand, responsible for their Paris flagship in 2009, to design the new space. It’s a 220-square-meter boutique, boasting a stone exterior, with both the front window and glass entry framed in black lacquer and gold leaf.

The interior features the same antique brass and polished stainless steel fixtures that Dirand designed for the Paris flagship, while the stone floor’s geometric design — created with beige thalas and grey hainaut stone — is a play on traditional English parquet patterns.
