He personally requested it and got it on Saturday night (March 14), when Justin Bieber showed the world he’s a good sport and can laugh at himself during the Comedy Central special, Roast of Justin Bieber.
The show was taped in Los Angeles, where celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Shaquille O’Neal, Jeffrey Ross, and even Martha Stewart turned out to roast the pop star.
Kevin Hart kicked off the evening, saying: “Tonight we’re going to give what his parents and the legal system should have done years ago, we’re going to give this boy an ass-whoopin’,” said the comedian.
Ludacris chimed in with a shot of his own, and jab at Hart: “Justin Bieber wants to be black so bad, he’s actually seen Kevin Hart’s movies in theaters.”
Martha Stewart would offer some advice for prison, a place she said was “inevitable” that he’d end up at.
By the end of the show, Bieber threw a shot back at everyone, saying: “What do you get when you give a teenager $200 million? A bunch of has-beens calling you a lesbian for two hours.”
“I’ve turned a lot of people off in the last few years. But I know I can still put out good music and turn everything all around,” he said. “You have my word — I will not end up broken, pathetic, bitter, or sitting on someone else’s roast. I’m at a moment of change. This is a new day.”
Comedy Central’s Roast of Justin Bieber airs March 30 at 10 p.m.
