Director Bert Marcus explores the pursuit of the “American Dream” through boxing, while painting a picture of a controversial sport in a moment of crisis in this new documentary called Champs.

The film is center around the stories of heavyweight legends Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Bernard Hopkins — each of whom open up about their lives and careers. It weaves uncensored recollections with classic fight footage with candid interviews with the likes of Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington, Ron Howard, Spike Lee, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent, among others.
