After being released by the Lions in February, Reggie Bush has reached an agreement to join the San Francisco 49ers.
Details, however, were unknown at press time.
The Detroit Lions released Bush late last month, saving $1.7 million in salary cap space.
The 30-year-old running back signed signed a four-year deal with the Lions in 2013 and rushed for over 1,000 yards in his first season with the club. However, he was unable stay healthy in 2014, as he dealt with a lingering ankle injury and never completely healed.
Last season, Bush played in 11 games, but recorded just 76 carries for 297 yards and two touchdowns, alongside 40 receptions for 253 yards.
The Niners acquires Bush just days after their longtime running back Frank Gore left and signed with the Indianapolis Colts.
