After spending his entire NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers, running back Frank Gore is making a change, as he agrees to a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.
According to ESPN.com, the 31-year-old is expected to sign a three-year, $12 million deal with the Colts, which includes $7.5 million in guaranteed money.
Gore had intended to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles over the weekend, who offered a similar deal, but reportedly reversing his decision Monday (March 9). His decision leaves the Eagles without a running back, after already agreeing to trade LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills.
Gore is coming off four straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons and has rushed for over 1,000 yards in eight of the past nine seasons. He didn’t reach 1,000 years during the 2010 season, after suffering a broken hip that sidelined him for five games.
