Honda offers up a first look at its powerful new 2015 Civic Type R.
It boasts a new turbocharged 2-liter VTEC engine, producing 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to hit 0-60 in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 167 mph.
It’s new Dual Axis Strut suspension improves the steering capability of the new Type R, while adaptive dampers and electronic steering provide further enhancements. Additionally, the revamped +R driving mode gives the driver an increase of torque, improvement of engine responses, and damper reduction. And finally, an aggressive body kit gives it a raced out look.
The new Honda Civic Type R will be priced at around 45,000, while the GT version will add another $3,500 to the overall cost. Stay tuned for further news…
