British boxer Amir Khan isn’t happy that Floyd Mayweather finally chose to fight Manny Pacquiao, because he believed he should have gotten a shot.
Furthermore, the 28-year-old actually feels like Pacquiao is the “easier” opponent for Floyd.
“My strong performance against Devon Alexander has made some of the opponents think twice about taking me on,” Khan told The Sun. “Mayweather has probably chosen to fight Pacquiao because it’s an easier fight.”
Khan never believed the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would happen, so he reportedly began talking to both of their camps about considering him as the second option. But obviously, he was not chosen and isn’t happy about it.
“He is taking the easy route, but boxing is a business, and obviously, he is going to do what makes for sense for him financially,” said Khan.
In response, Mayweather said he’d buy the boxer a ticket to the Pacquiao fight.
“I am touched Amir is concerned. I can get him a ticket to see what the biggest fight in the history of boxing looks like,” said Floyd.
