Kevin Durant has been sidelined after undergoing a minor procedure to reduce pain in his surgically repaired right foot, reports ESPN.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star is set to be re-evaluated in a week, but he’s expected to be return to play in the regular season.
The surgery comes just months after he had a procedure to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot in October.
While his fracture is healing as expected, a screw inserted at the fifth metatarsal during the original procedure is rubbing against another bone, which has caused soreness and discomfort.
To help alleviate the pain, Durant had a new screw inserted.
