Texas rapper Flatline was killed this week, during a shooting in Corpus Christi. He was 37.

According to KrisTV6, the local rapper (real name: Jose Mendoz) was shot in killed at fishing supply store called Cos-Way Bait & Tackle sometime around 2 a.m. Fishermen around the pier heard gunshots and Flatline was found shot multiple times.

Paramedics arrived and attempted CPR to no avail. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 29-year-old suspect turned himself in later in the morning in connection with the shooting. However, a motive was unknown at press time.

On Flatline’s Facebook, he regularly posted photos of himself fishing.
